Ziko — Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Ziko mobile app ("the app"), published by Ziko LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. The service

Ziko generates crossword puzzles about TV shows for your personal, non-commercial entertainment. The app is free to use, with an optional paid subscription (Ziko Pro) described in section 2. Puzzle generation is rate-limited and may be paused or unavailable at times (for example to manage capacity); we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.

2. Ziko Pro subscription

Ziko Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that raises the daily limit on the puzzles you can generate, and unlocks additional features as they are released.

Billing. Ziko Pro is offered as a monthly or an annual subscription. The price shown in the app at the time of purchase is the price you pay, in your local currency. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.

Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the same price at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.

Managing and cancelling. You can view, change or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not end the period you have already paid for, and you keep Pro features until that period ends.

Refunds. Purchases are made through the App Store, so refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. We cannot issue a refund ourselves.

Price changes. If we change the price, Apple will tell you in advance and, where Apple requires it, ask you to agree before the new price applies. If you do not agree, your subscription will not renew at the new price.

What Pro does not change. Pro does not remove the acceptable-use rules below, and it does not guarantee that any particular show, season or puzzle can be generated. Availability limits described in section 1 still apply.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the rate limits or security of the app or its backend;
• Use automated means to generate puzzles at scale or otherwise abuse the service.

We may limit or suspend access that violates these Terms.

4. AI-generated content

Crossword clues are generated automatically using AI from public TV show data. Generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, contain errors, or be unexpected. It is provided for entertainment only and should not be relied upon as factual. If you encounter content that seems inappropriate, please contact us.

5. Intellectual property

TV show titles, descriptions, and related metadata belong to their respective owners and are provided via TVmaze. TV data from TVmaze.com, used under CC BY-SA 4.0. The Ziko app, its name, and its original design are owned by us. Show and series names are the property of their respective rights holders and are used for identification only.

6. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) twenty US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case the limit is the smallest amount that jurisdiction permits.

8. Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what limited data the app processes.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version, posted at the same URL. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
